We are in Pemberton to celebrate Ashleigh and Clint’s wedding later in the week.  In the meantime we are soaking up the amazing sights around Pemberton.  This morning we visited Warren National Park, a gorgeous virgin karri forest along the valley of the Warren River.

The karri trees are a wonder, soaring into the blue skies.  This is such a beautiful part of the world.  We travelled the Heartbreak Trail which follows the river.  This is a steep, narrow (and luckily) one-way track - brilliant fun to drive - what an experience for Caps!  The track was apparently cleared by hand by firefighters to get to the river, I think the name (Heartbreak Trial) reflects how hard that job was!

The Warren River is tranquil, with the only sounds to be heard being the sounds of the birds.

Heartbreak Trial goes from river side with lovely spots to stop alongside the river to steep lookouts high above the valley with amazing vistas.

This is one of those special places that is not to be missed!
